Jaime Herrera Beutler Endorsed by Clark County Building Industry Group

Builders support Jaime for her work to “move the needle on housing affordability in Clark County” and standing up for homebuilders at a time of uncertainty

Vancouver, WA – Today, Jaime Herrera Beutler welcomed the news that her campaign has been endorsed by the Building Industry Group, a non-partisan Political Action Committee for the Building Industry Association (BIA) of Clark County.

Jaime has consistently maintained the goal of increasing affordable housing during her time in Congress, and has taken action to support local businesses and employees in the building and construction industry. In March, the U.S. House approved Jaime’s legislation to lift barriers inhibiting the creation of affordable housing.  Jaime is also working to create a national housing task force to make recommendations to Congress that will address the housing affordability crisis. And as a senior member of the U.S. House Appropriations Committee, Jaime secured emergency funds to specifically protect public housing options for vulnerable residents in Southwest Washington against COVID-19 impacts.

“The Building Industry Association of Clark County is proud to endorse Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler in her bid to continue representing us in Congress,” said Building Industry Group Chair Tracy Wilson. “Jaime has been a champion for affordable housing to Clark County, and we know we can count on her to continue taking action in Congress to support our communities.”

“Our local home builders, construction businesses, and all of the workers they employ are key to increasing affordable housing in our region, and I welcome their formal endorsement of my campaign,” said Jaime.  “I’ll continue to be a champion for solutions that support these small businesses and increase affordable homes for Southwest Washington families.”
